Running to work - a bad idea?

Do you think i am crazy enough to run to work? Well, sometimes i thought of that ... but is it really good and healthy to run all the way going to the office back and forth?

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to avoid standing on a crowded train or sitting in traffic and commute to work on foot instead? The trend of running to work is catching on my dear viewers...

Although weather, distance, time, and other obstacles make it difficult for some people to commute by running, it is a serious option for some people. Here are some tips for those who want to give it a try:

  • Look for showers elsewhere. Some workplaces may not have a shower or locker room, but check out nearby gyms. If you're a member, you can always shower and change there.
  • Avoid traffic-prone areas. Map a course that stays away from major traffic arteries and numerous stoplights. Your run may be longer, but it will also be safer and less frustrating
  • Plan ahead. On a non-running day, bring a week's worth of clothes to work. You may also want to have a stash of breakfast foods and healthy snacks for post-morning run and pre-evening run fuel
  • Carry cash with you. You never know when you might need more water, food, or to catch a bus, train, or cab for whatever reason
So the next time when gas prices goes up... you people know what to do! Run people run!

Keep on Runnin' mate!
